2026; A web of lies about work?
“Just to let you know, we’ll need the table back within two hours” says the receptionist at a very high end restaurant. Anold-school boss is trying to book an annual Christmas lunch with ex-colleagues. The sort that starts with a martini, washed down with champagne, followed by a clamour for leather-bound wine list.
Never be yourself at work
We’ve all been told: “Bring your whole self to work”.
Which I’ve thought was a terrible idea since I worked with a guy who absolutely did.
Solve work loneliness
Work in the 90s and early 2000s, meant hours of time together, dealing with everything from the hilarious to illegal, via a sushi-hurling boss and a creative who overtook his “sleeping meds” at Heathrow.
