Sort your damn life out!

‘Indecision is expensive’, says Felix as he concludes why he and his wife go through an ‘awkward’ annual planning process to make the big decisions in their life.

To begin with, Katja was skeptical of their life workshops. But, now she agrees it has helped them to make the big decisions (moving country, having another baby) and the smaller ones that have improved their lives and stopped them crashing into every week without a plan.

Their process is one you can do alone, with a partner or a friend…but cannot do with children or other time dementors (yes, dog, off you go). So Chris and I are escaping to a spa hotel this weekend to work it through, which he is super excited about.

How to workshop life

  1. ✅ Decide what’s up for review.  You can’t fix everything in one go.

  2. 📆 Draw up your year. (Felix does this on paper—impressive—but it takes two hours, so we printed ours.)

  3. 🖊 Set aside a slot of time for each subject and take some workshop kit. Felix has a guide he will share with you.

  4. 🤷‍♀️ Make actual decisions (this is where we may fail…)

  5. 🪣 Leave reinvigorated and for the next 12 months, push off every major decision that comes up to the same event in 2024. (This I have more confidence in.)

Let us know how you get on!

Next Week

We’re in Zurich meeting some European female leaders to talk "Powerful Presence". But before we go, I’ll be talking about the research into habits that *actually* stick, to set us up for the year.
